Introduction
Notification Chains are used to organize roles into Notification groups. They are utilized in different parts of the Autonomous Patch product, such as Patching Strategies, Deployment Channels, and Business Units. They determine which users/administrators should be notified. The Notification Chains are responsible for grouping the recipients of the notifications. The actual notifications will be sent through one or more Communication Providers.
General Settings
The general settings section is for basic identifiable information, Name and Description. It is also where the Roles containing the users/administrators that should receive the notifications are selected.
Name: The name used to identify this Notification Chain
Description: (Optional) A description used to describe the purpose or functionality of the chain.
Roles to Notify
To add a role, select the Add Roles button. Select the checkbox next to any roles that you wish to add and then click Add Roles.
Additional Roles and Administrators can be added through the Security menu within the general settings.
To access this menu, select it from the cog icon in the top-right corner of the main UI:
