Outages typically fall into two categories. Scheduled and Emergency / Unplanned outages. Scheduled outages will be posted in this article at least 5 days prior to the outage.
We will also send an email to every customer who has a server registered with the Adaptiva Cloud Services. If you did not receive an email for an upcoming outage, please Submit a Request using the Adaptiva Support Portal at https://support.adaptiva.com and select the option Add Me to the Adaptiva Cloud Services Notification Email. Please provide your name and company email address.
Planned outages can last from 30 minutes to 4 hours.
During an outage of the Adaptiva Cloud Services the following may be unavailable:
- Customer Server will not be assigned a Relay Server
- Customer Server may not be able to receive the Adaptiva CDN content location. Customer Servers using Azure are not impacted.
- Internet Clients may not be able to communicate with the assigned Relay Server
- Internet Clients may not be able to download content from the Adaptiva CDN
- New Internet Clients will not be able to reach their Customer Server.

| UNPLANNED OUTAGE |
OpsMgr in the New York Data Center is DOWN. From our vendor: A small electrical failure occurred with one of the redundant UPS devices which began smoking and led to a small fire in the UPS room. The fire department was dispatched and the fire extinguished quickly. The fire department subsequently cut power to the datacenter and disabled the generators while they and the utility company inspected the electrical system. |
