The Adaptiva Licensing Alerter solution consists of a workflow and form that can be configured to provide email alerting for license expiry or if the license count is exceeded.
Configure the licensing alerter solution by creating a schedule on which to run the built-in workflow. Specify the mail server and email details using the following steps:
-
Select Workflows on the left-side panel of the Adaptiva OneSite Admin Portal, and then select Adaptiva Licensing Alerter.
-
Select More on the upper-left of the Adaptiva Licensing Alerter solution, and then select Manage Business Workflows from the dropdown menu.
-
Select +New Launch On Schedule Settings on the Manage Businesses Workflow dialog.
-
Enter an appropriate name (in this example, the name License Alerter is used), and a description under Details in the Create Launch On Schedule Settings workspace.
-
Select Browse next to Schedules, select the appropriate schedule (in this example, the Every Day schedule is used) in the Schedules list on the Select Schedule dialog, and then select OK. You may also create and use a custom schedule.
-
Enter the mail server and email details, and configure the following alerting settings under Launch Form Settings:
-
-
Enter the name to appear in the From field of the email (defaults to Adaptiva Administrator).
-
Enter the email address to send the license alert email to (e.g., IT@company.com) into the To field.

-
-
-
Check the box next to Alert on License Expiry (defaults to on) to receive an email when the license is due to expire within a set number of days.
-
Check the box next to Alert on License Count (defaults to on) to receive an email when the license count has exceeded the set limit.
-
Check the box next to Always Alert (defaults to off) to receive an email with the current status, even if neither the license expiry is due nor the license count has been exceeded.
Note
If both Alert on License Expiry and Alert on License Count are checked and both conditions are met, only a single email is sent containing both alerts.
-
Enter the desired number of days (defaults to 60) you want the license to expire in the Expiry Alerting Period field.
-
Enter the desired number (defaults to 2) into the Default Input field.
